Qnotes_Future.

Qnotes started as an email newsletter about two(?) years ago. About a year ago, I decided to adopt the current format here on Blogger. I will likely be abandoning this format, and moving on to revision 3.0 early next year. I'm considering the adoption of a pure RSS feed. Any thoughts?

Fun Stuff.

Stephen Colbert's performance at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner is the featured article on Wikipedia today. Also, reviews on Casino Royale, and Saturday Night Wrist. Oh, and Bill Gates for President.

Job News.

I love my job. I get lots of free food. I work with amusing people. I wear all black, all the time. Sweet.

In other news: SSL is broken, Habeas Corpus is back, an article on Mental Health, and an essay on Simul-Flow State Description. Say what?

Job.

I have just recieved word that I have a job now, as a barback at an upscale downtown bar. With any luck, this means that my financial situation will improve. I sign paperwork on Tuesday. Also, I have a new phone number for those interested. I will be sending out new contact info by the usual channels.

My Katherine.

My girlfriend fills me with awe on a regular basis. Not only is she lovely, creative and compassionate, she's also pretty sharp. Yesterday she recieved news that she scored in the...

waitwaitwait. DRUMROLL PLEASE!

She scored in the Ninety Ninth Percentile on the LSATs. Wow. I love you, Katherine. You're amazing.

Political Stance.

Here are a few links to organizations which I support:

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF)
Scientists and Engineers for America (SEA or SEforA)

Here are a couple of links to definitions of movements which I strongly disagree with:

Neoconservativism
Any form of Fundamentalism, Christian, Islamic or otherwise.

That pretty much sums it up.

Check out J.'s well-informed comment about the New York Times article I posted a couple of days ago. Also, I've posted on the subject of communication media in the Qnotes_Tech section, and Google's take on politics in Tech.

On another topic, if anyone has any suggestions about the format of the Qnotes, post a comment to let me know...
